About Lizzie
A qualified therapist with 12 years counselling experience with adults.
Lizzie is an Accredited practitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
She trained for four years in London at City Lit to become a Person-Centred counsellor.
Her counselling experience has included counselling for a bereavement service in Ealing. A counsellor in a further education college in Brighton - Met College. She has been counselling in private counselling practice in Lewes since 2016. She works in rooms in the Open Door Health Clinic off the High Street.
Before training to become a counsellor Lizzie’s background was working with children.
Lizzie has twice monthly clinical supervision for her practice which supports her work, this is a requirement for all counsellors in the UK.
She develops her practice and keeps up to date with current research by attending continuing professional development and specialist workshops/ training throughout the year.
Lizzie sees adults with a range of issues but her specialisms are bereavement, loss of all kinds, anxiety and depression.
